Liberian ICT Activist to Launch Book, Titled: “ICTs Tools For Liberia’s Development”

Liberia’s leading events management company, Exclusive Multimedia-Events, is excited to announce an extraordinary occasion that will celebrate the worlds of literature and technology.

This technology driven-literary masterpiece authored by Willie Bee Tinbga Jnr., delves into “ICT Tools For Liberia’s Development.”

Tingba is Liberian youth and the leading Digital Rights Activist. He is a former lecturer at BlueCrest University, Liberia and also the founder and president emeritus at the Liberia Information Technology Student Union (LITSU).

Tingba’s book promises to be a remarkable addition and attendees can expect a memorable evening filled with intellectual discourse, networking opportunities and a chance to meet the author.

In an exclusive interview, Tinbga explained that he is excited to share a significant portion of the funds raised from the book launch to establishing a Digital Research Center in one of the remote areas in Liberia.

Activist Tingba further revealed that the initiative aligns with his vision to bridge the digital divide and ensure that the most marginalized communities in Liberia have access to the opportunities and benefits that ICTs brings.

Speaking on the ICT Awards, he hinted that it will be an annual event to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the ICT sector in Liberia.

It is expected that the annual ICT Awards will target major stakeholders including students, policymakers, industry experts and technology creators.

Meanwhile, in parallel with the book launch, the Liberia Computer Society will honor exceptional achievements in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and this year’s national ICT award recognizes outstanding individuals, organizations and initiatives that have demonstrated innovation, excellence, and a significant impact on Liberia’s ICT landscape.

Willie Bee Tingba, Jr. is a Liberian author, IT professional, Lecturer in Information Technology, and a leading Digital Rights Advocate in Liberia.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology Infrastructure Management Services from the United Methodist University (UMU) in Liberia.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Systems Engineering at Cyprus International University, as well as a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence Engineering at Near East University.

He is the founder and first President of both the Liberia Information Technology Student Union (LITSU) and the Liberia Computer Society (LCS).

He formerly worked at the BlueCrest University College and the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Republic of Liberia.
