Derkach’s direct speech: “Correspondence between NABU and the US Embassy will be published in a few years, which is in the case file under Article 111 of the Criminal Code treason, as well as documents in 6 criminal proceedings against” Burisma “, which includes ex-vice- US President Joe Biden and his son Hunter …

NIBU First Deputy Director Gizo Uhlava, through his assistant Polina Chyzh, has long provided the US Embassy with information that influenced events in Ukraine and the United States. NABU leaked information to US embassy staff and coordinated its actions on a number of high-profile cases. “

Details: According to Derkach, these documents testify to the NABU’s control over a separate representative of the US embassy, the US embassy’s pressure on Ukrainian law enforcement officers from 2016 to 2018, the interference of Ukrainian law enforcement and government officials in the 2016 US elections, and possible corruption the actions of Biden and his son Hunter.

Derkach also said that he had documents about pressure on former Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin as part of the investigation into the Burisma case.

The People’s Deputy assured that he had received the documents from investigative journalists who were worried about their safety and lives.

According to Derkach, he has already submitted these documents to the DBR and the Prosecutor General’s Office. The parliamentarian also initiated the creation of a temporary commission of inquiry into the Verkhovna Rada, and filed a petition with the court to resume the investigation into the interference in the US elections by announcing a pre-trial investigation.

In 2014, a case was opened against Zlochevsky for illegal enrichment of about 1 billion hryvnias. According to Derkach, the notes of the lawyer of US President Rudolf Giuliani, published earlier, show that the case against Zlochevsky was closed for fear of the United States.

The People’s Deputy said at a press conference that Giuliani’s notes referred to the order of US Vice President Biden to detain $ 1 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine. According to Shokin, he had a plan to investigate Burisma, given the interrogations of board members.

Derkach People’s Deputy of 6 convocations. He twice served in the Rada as a member of the Party of Regions. In 2019, he was elected People’s Deputy for the majority system in district № 159 in Sumy region.

He was one of the people’s deputies who voted for dictatorial laws on January 16, 2014.

In 2016, Derkach and non-partisan Volodymyr Mysyk were the authors  of a scandalous amendment  to the budget to postpone the introduction of electronic declaration by officials. This amendment jeopardized the abolition of the visa regime with the EU.

At the end of 2016, he wrote a statement to the Speaker of Parliament resigning from the People ‘s Will parliamentary group.

Why it’s important:  From 2016 to 2019, the US Embassy in Ukraine was headed by Marie Jovanovich. Already after Jovanovich’s release, US President Donald Trump called her “bad ambassador” in a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said in an interview with the American newspaper The Hill that Jovanovich gave him  a list of people whom she asked “not to persecute.” In addition, Lutsenko added that he had not received from the US Embassy in Ukraine about four million dollars, which she had to allocate to his office.

In addition, in 2016, after the publication  of the Party of Regions’ black accounts,  NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and former People’s Deputy Serhiy Leshchenko were sued for possible interference in the 2016 US elections.

The court initially  ruled  that Sytnyk and Leshchenko’s actions regarding the disclosure of information about Paul Manafort were illegal. And in July 2019, the Court of Appeal  overturned the decision  of the court of previous instance in this case.
