A pro-Palestine rally held at George Washington University on Friday featured a speaker who vocally linked support for Palestinians to a broader call for a communist revolution within the United States. The speaker, whose identity remains undisclosed, stirred the crowd with calls for an “intifada revolution” aimed at achieving a socialist reconstruction of the United States. The rally, punctuated by loud cheers from attendees, was captured in a video and posted on Twitter.

During the event, the speaker declared, “There’s only one solution, intifada revolution,” which was met with intensified cheers as he further elaborated on the need for a revolution to enable socialist changes in the U.S. This statement has sparked discussions about the intersections of international support for Palestinians and domestic political agendas in America.

In a related development, The New York Post reported on Friday significant funding connections involving billionaire investor George Soros and Soros-backed entities to some of the most active groups in the wave of campus protests across the U.S. These protests have been prominent at major universities including Yale, Berkeley, Ohio State University, and Emory in Georgia, largely orchestrated by the Soros-funded Students for Justice in Palestine and the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights.

Financial disclosures indicate that the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights has received upwards of $300,000 from Soros’ Open Society Foundations since 2017, and an additional $355,000 from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund since 2019. The Open Society Foundations, currently under the leadership of Soros’s son, Alex Soros, have been pivotal in channeling funds to various activist organizations through intermediaries like the Tides Foundation, which subsequently distributes these funds to smaller groups such as A Jewish Voice for Peace.

The revelations about the financial underpinnings of these protests and the explicit calls for radical structural changes in the United States highlight the complex and often contentious dynamics between domestic political activism and international advocacy. As these developments unfold, they continue to stir a significant conversation about the role of external funding in shaping domestic protest movements and the broader political implications tied to these activities.
