The US is preparing for an intense battle against the Yemeni Houthis

The US Navy is preparing for the most intense battle against the Houthi rebels since World War II. The operation launched to deal with them has been overshadowed by the Israel- Hamas  war that is raging in Gaza.

More than 50 ships were targeted by the rebels. According to experts, the war will intensify, which will put the USA and  its allies in great danger.

The Red Sea is an important trade route that accounts for about 15% of world trade. The Red Sea is connected to the Mediterranean Sea by the Suez Canal and is the shortest sea route connecting Asia and Europe.

The Houthis say their attacks on commercial ships and American forces in the Red Sea show support for the Palestinians and Hamas . Israel’s ongoing war against Hamas . Israel started the war in response to the attack on Israel by ” Hamas ” on October 7.

Houthi attacks have disrupted international trade, with ships diverting commercial shipments. A longer route increases shipping costs and creates risks of a new wave of global inflation.
