The video fragments were extracted from footage captured with a Go-pro camera by Hamas commandos.
Images recently emerged of the brutal attack against five Israeli female soldiers who were held during the attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023 against Israel.
The video, which was released after the victims’ families authorized its release, seeks to show the brutality to which the women were subjected by the terrorists.
In addition, the broadcast of the audiovisual seeks to speed up the process of releasing them and several hostages who are still kidnapped under the power of the extremist group.
The images were taken from a two-hour video filmed with a Go-pro by Hamas commandos, according to the families.
In the footage you can see the young women, some with blood on their faces, sitting on the floor in their pajamas with their hands tied behind their backs.
The video, which lasts 3 minutes and 10 seconds, was edited and censored to exclude the most disturbing scenes, according to a statement.
One of the victims’ sisters noted that, now that the world has seen the young women in pajamas taken captive, “the only victory is to bring them back quickly and alive.”
Official reports indicate that more than 50 soldiers died on October 7 at the Nahal Oz military base, attacked by commandos from the Palestinian Islamist movement.
The Israeli Army reported that 15 unarmed women in charge of guarding the border through screens were killed at the base , while seven others were taken hostage.
One of the soldiers was freed during an Israeli military operation and the body of another was found in Gaza, and later repatriated to Israel.
Of the 252 people kidnapped during the Hamas attack, 124 are still held in Gaza, of whom 37 are believed to be dead, according to the Israeli Army.
