A plan to stop the war in Ukraine was presented by two advisers to Donald Trump. The draft contains a clause that provides for the provision of military assistance to Kiev only if it accepts peace negotiations, writes Reuters .
Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, one of Trump’s advisers, said the draft warns Russia that refusing to participate in the negotiations would have the effect of increasing military assistance to Ukraine.

Donald Trump found out about this project, giving a favorable response.
“I’m not claiming that they bought it or every word of it, but we were pleased with the reaction,” Keith Kellogg said.
Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Donald Trump’s team, said only statements by the former president or his representatives should be considered official positions.
“The value of the plan lies in the nuances and taking into account the actual situation on the ground. President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Russia is and remains open to negotiations, taking into account the real situation on the ground,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Because Russia has violated international regulations by invading Ukraine, stopping hostilities on the current front lines would be “a strange thing,” one of President Zelenskiy’s advisers has said.
“Ukraine clearly understands the situation and has presented proposals through the Peace Formula presented by President Zelensky. It is clearly stipulated that peace can be fair and can be established only if it is based on international law”, stressed Mykhailo Podolyak.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia will cease fire and enter into peace talks if Ukraine withdraws its Ukrainian troops from the entire territory of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

US and Russian defense chiefs Lloyd Austin and Andrei Belousov spoke by phone yesterday in an unusual dialogue between the two warring superpowers. The talks seem shocking, especially in the context in which Moscow accused Washington of the latest attack on Russian territory .
The two sides gave divergent accounts of the discussion.
Austin initiated the conversation as early as March 2023, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder told reporters. The Russian Defense Ministry said, however, that Belousov had warned Austin about the dangers of continuing to supply US arms to Ukraine, the Guardian reports.
