Polish Radio correspondent Marek Wałkuski elected head of White House Foreign Press Group

Public broadcaster Polish Radio’s Washington correspondent Marek Wałkuski has been elected as the new head of the White House Foreign Press Group. 

The organization which Wałkuski will lead consists of around 200 journalists from various international media outlets that cover the U.S. president and his administration.

Wałkuski will succeed Richard Latendresse of Canada’s TVA Nouvelles, starting his one-year term on July 1.

This appointment marks a significant achievement for Polish Radio, reinforcing its status as a reputable source of news that commands respect on the global stage, according to executives.

Wałkuski’s term as president of the White House Foreign Press Group promises to continue the tradition of diligent and balanced reporting, while also enriching the international dialogue with Polish insights into global affairs, Polish Radio said.

Wałkuski, a veteran journalist for Polish Radio, has been a member of the White House press corps since 2018 and has reported on numerous significant global and political events.
