The conflicts between the cartels in Mexico are incessant. Clashes broke out between the Northeast Cartel and the Gulf Cartel in the town of Miguel Aleman in the state of Tamaulipas in the northeast of the country.

The dead bodies of 9 people who lost their lives after the conflict were left on the Monterrey Tamaulipas highway, a place close to the town. Citizens passing by with their vehicles were horrified by the lifeless bodies they saw.

According to the statements of the surrounding residents, after the clash in which heavy gunfire was heard yesterday morning, dead bodies were left on the highway, while it is not yet known to which cartel they belong.

While law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene, Tamaulipas state official Luis Alberto Rodriguez stated that the Mexican army was the first to arrive at the area where the bodies were left. Rodriguez also confirmed that the number of dead bodies left on the road is 9.

The conflict is thought to have arisen due to the conflict between the Northeast and Gulf Cartels over the drugs, contraband goods and migrant traffic in the region since 2010.

In Mexico, where there has been a serious increase in cartel murders in recent days, the Gulf Cartel opened fire on civilians in Reynosa city of Tamaulipas state on June 19, causing the death of 15 innocent citizens, while 4 members of the cartel were neutralized by the security forces.
