Seven Palestinian Mortar Bombs Hit Israel

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JERUSALEM – Seven mortar shells hit Israeli territory. The seven bombs were released Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip, Tuesday (23/10) local time. The attack caused no casualties or serious damage.

The sirens rang out again in the Eshkol region, southern Israel, when three bombs landed near the settlement Re’im. Shortly after the fourth bomb exploded in the open not far from the settlement.

“Interior Front Command ordered residents in the area to stay in a shelter,” said Army spokesman told Xinhua.

Ynet News reports, settlements Re’im opened a shelter for children and to everyone who wants to spend the night. The Israeli Air Force also confirmed the attack on the unity shooter rockets in the Gaza Strip, as the force prepares to fire rockets into Israel.

In the press release sent to the media, the Israeli army accused Hamas was behind the firing of rockets into Israel. “Hamas sole responsible for any activities originating attackers from Gaza,” said the press release.
