Father Frank Pavone, the head of Priests for Life, has re-emerged into prominence in the pro-life movement, notes David Gibson of Religion News Service.
After having been restricted by his bishop to the Amarillo diocese, Father Pavone is again traveling around the country, and seems confident that he will be allowed to continue his work without new restrictions—apparently because of support he has received from the Vatican.
“Priests for Life has outgrown its canonical structure,” Father Pavone says, suggesting that the group may soon have a new status that will enable him to escape from the conflicts he has encountered with diocesan bishops.
