ISTANBUL. Turkish army now deployed armored vehicles and heavy weapons to the border with Syria, near the border, where there has been intense fighting between the Syrian government and rebel forces. Turkish media reported it.

The strengthening of the Turkish military presence was in the area during the week where stray bullets and missiles from the Syrian border province Rakka Turkish civilians wounded.

CNN Turk reported that the bombardment fell on Sunday night near the Turkish border, which caused panic among the local population.

Turkish army moved to the border three armored reconnaissance vehicles Howitzer and one anti-aircraft gun, said television.

Turkey is a NATO member and over the past several months has increased the number of its troops along the 911 km border, which it shares with Syria, where rebels are fighting to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan openly criticized Asad way to deal with the uprising, which since March 2011 has killed at least 27,000 people.
