Obama – immigration policy “was big mistake”

To U.S. President Barack Obama wanted an interview with the Spanish-language TV solicit votes to immigrants. But then he came under pressure – and was open to failure.
U.S. President Barack Obama has come at a campaign appearance considerably because of his immigration policy explanations. In an interview with the Spanish-language TV station Univision, he admitted to have failed to keep his promise to reform immigration laws.

That was “the biggest mistake” of his first term, Obama said. He testified during the campaign made the commitment that, “before the economy was about to collapse.” The economic crisis has taken the first two years of his presidency. “I did not eat it all, I wanted to create.”

Eleven million illegal immigrants waiting for answers

The immigration debate is a hot topic in U.S. politics. Latinos represent around 50 million inhabitants, the largest minority in the United States. More than two thirds of them gave Obama their vote in the 2008 election.

He had promised on taking office that more than eleven million illegal immigrants – herauszuholen “from the shadows” – often friends or relatives of legal immigrants. Several months ago, Obama had determined that at least stay immigrants who have arrived illegally as children or adolescents in the United States, for two years initially spared from deportation.
