VATICAN CITY (AP) The Book of Pope Benedict XVI on the childhood of Jesus, whose title is still reserved, will be released before next Christmas in Italy and Germany, while working on editing it in Spanish.
As reported by the Vatican press room, the day the agreement was signed between the Italian Rizzoli Publishing House and the Vatican Publishing (LEV), sole depository of all copyrighted papal texts, for editing the book.
With the agreement of LEV Rizzoli gave the mandate to sell worldwide rights to the work, which will be based on the figure of Christ during the time of his childhood in the Gospels.
In Italy the volume, the output in all libraries is planned before Christmas, is presented as a joint publication LEV-Rizzoli.
Along with the Italian edition is already planned that in German, published by Herder, historical editor Joseph Ratzinger, while actively preparing contemporary publication in the languages of wider dissemination.
The final title of the book is still reserved and is the complement of the other two volumes of the same work: “Jesus of Nazareth” (2007) and ‘Jesus of Nazareth. Income to Jerusalem to the Resurrection ‘(2011).
