In a victory for religious liberty, the US Supreme Court has let stand a federal appellate ruling that recognized the right of World Vision–a Christian relief organization–to fire employees who no longer believe in the divinity of Christ.
The Supreme Court’s action “represents a major victory for the freedom of all religious organizations to hire employees who share the same faith–whether Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, or any other religion,” said Richard Stearns, the organization’s US president.
