Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh flee to Saudi Arabia

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived in Riyadh for medical care, a day after he was injured in the attack on the Palace complex in the capital, Sana’a, Kingdom of Saudi officials said.

“The Yemeni president has arrived along with officials and citizens who suffered injury to perform the treatment in Saudi Arabia,” the court said the kingdom on Sunday.

Saleh will be hospitalized from injuries suffered by a missile attack on the Presidential Palace complex on Friday. Escalation of civil war that culminated when troops from the tribal groups led by Sadiq al Ahmar, no longer willing to make peace with the President of Yemen, because Saleh’s forces had killed the previous envoy of the mediator hashed tribe.
Al Jazeera reporters get konfirmsi Ali Abdullah Saleh had arrived at King Khalid Air Base in Riyadh and has been moved to a military hospital.

Yemeni leader was suffering from “severe burns and scratches on the face and chest,” said one Saudi official. According to information from the Military Hospital of Ali Abdullah Saleh suffered “minor injuries in the back of the head.”

Meanwhile, sources told Al Jazeera that the vice president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has taken over as acting president and supreme commander of the armed forces.

When rockets hit the mosque at the presidential compound and broke the pulpit, he was surrounded by senior government officials and guards.

 11 guards died, and five officers standing nearby were injured and taken to Saudi Arabia.  The President delivered an audio address afterwards, his voice work, with only an old photograph displayed.

Truce Earlier on Saturday, the sources said tribal leaders hashed Sadiq al Ahmar agreed a truce with the government for a week.  A ceasefire was brokered by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 The opposition urged the immediate transfer of power and form a new pemrintahan, until the scheduled election. (mh/aljz)
